Big Machines

We went to the landfill dump with Room One. There was 'fart gas'and there was a crusher. We went on a bus. There was lots of rubbish blowing around and it smelled stinky. We had to wear jackets. By Neena

I liked the crusher. It had spiky wheels and it crushed the rubbish. The 'fart gas' was smelly. By Shikane
Landfill Trip
Yesterday we went to the landfill. We saw seagulls and they were flying over all the rubbish. The smell was disgusting - it was 'fart gas'. We saw valleys and mountains. They were so big. It was sunny and we needed hats. We went in a bus. It was a little bit wobbly. Neena and me sat in the front we were excited. There was a swimming pool but we were not allowed to swim in the pool. * 'fart gas' is what the people at the landfill call the methane gas. We learned that they now turn it into electricity and it makes enough for 2,000 houses.

ReplyDeleteI loved the big wheels on the crusher too. The Landfill made me think about what I do with my rubbish at home and what I could do to be better at recycling. I love the WOW words you used in your stories.
